Fasting helps express, deepen, confirm the resolution that we are ready to sacrifice anything, even ourselves to attain what we seek for the kingdom of God.”

~Andrew Murray

—————

Using prayer as a tool to benefit the kingdom of God is an awesome goal in life. When I’m faced with life challenges, I have found more peace in turning to God through prayer. Recently, I was faced with a business challenge where I had to decide if I would expand my business with an internship program or not. After much prayer, God not only gave me a green light to do it, but he gave me instructions on how to conduct the program and who should be included in the program.

What areas in your life is God challenging you to turn to Him in prayer? Have you been playing dodge-ball with your prayer time? Then I want to challenge you to take the next seven days and try to allot at least 5-10 minutes per day to spend in prayer. Start off small and then increase the time when you feel comfortable increasing it. Please feel free to return to this post and share your experiences with prayer and how God used it to challenge you to grow.

Your sister in Christ,
Kim
